THE ULTIMATE
Today we had our first visit from It's A Crime Not To Read! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the program, The Calgary Public Library and Calgary Police Service partner up to bring a love of reading to the grade 2 and 3 students at our school. Each month we will have a visit from the Nichol Family Library and Constable Suzanne. The library staff will bring along a variety of books and students can borrow 2 books from them. As part of the visit, Constable Suzanne will read some of her favourite books to the students and answer a variety of questions that they may have about her job. It is a great program that enriches students' reading!
Fall is is the air! I have asked students to pay attention to the changes they notice now that our season has changed! Particularly the trees/leaves and evening sky. We will be doing a variety of art and reading/writing activities along this theme in the days and weeks to come.
